History of Ogden Blue

Currently located in its new award winning building on Historic 25th Street in Ogden, Ogden Blue has celebrated over 65 years in the business of supporting architects, contractors, artists and others with their printing and supply needs.
Ogden Blue gets its name from the blueprinting industry when building plans were actually printed with a blue image. Over the years the method of blueprinting has changed from the day when blueprints were created with a photographic method and literally hung up on a line to dry. Today's blueprinting technology is computer driven with plain paper copies both in color and black and white.
As a local business, Ogden Blue has been a part of the downtown landscape during its entire existence. The current location on Historic 25th Street is the 7th location for Ogden Blue in the heart of Ogden City. Ogden Blue has seen many changes in Ogden over the years and fully supports the local downtown business climate.
With each move for Ogden Blue it has included more space to accommodate the growth of the business. Ogden Blue currently has expanded into high tech color graphic printing for businesses and provides a wide array of art supplies and classes for artists.
Richard Scott, current owner of the business succeeds his former business predecessors. Robert Brown, Richard's father-in law operated the business from 1949-1978. Robert's nephew, Robert Giles owned and operated Ogden Blue from 1978 until 1999.
